The conceptions of teaching and learning seen from university professors’ perspective
In recent years, researchers
have become increasingly interested in the conceptions of teaching and learning,
especially their nature and content. The different perspectives on the learning
process created a considerable impact inside the classroom. However, previous
research in the field as regards the different beliefs and ideas, has failed to
consider the analysis of these conceptions within the university ground. The
purpose of this paper is to explore the university field held by professors in
the University of Mar del Plata through lengthy questionnaires. This paper is divided
into six sections. A theoretical overview is presented, followed by the
different methods used as well as the procedure and the participants involved. The
final results are also provided, together with the conclusions. Finally, the
conclusion is stated and an appendix is detailed.
